THE A47 TRUNK ROAD (MORCOTT, RUTLAND) (50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he intends to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A47 Trunk Road at Morcott in the county of Rutland. The effect of the Order would be to impose a 50 miles per hour speed limit on the A47 from a point 369 metres west of its junction with the un-named road that leads to Fydell Row to a point 221 metres east of its junction with Stamford Road (A6121). A copy of the draft Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during opening hours at the offices of Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6HP, or may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Project Services Secretariat, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL, during normal office hours. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Highway Agency at the address given above for the attention of Karen Eustace.
