NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Aldwark Manor Hotel, Golf and Country Club Limited, of Aldwark Manor, Aldwark, Alne, York YO61 2NF, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the River Ure, National Grid Reference SE 4662 6320 at the above Club in the parish of Aldwark, at Ryedale District of North Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 5.4 cubic metres per hour, 129 cubic metres per day, 42,500 cubic metres per year. The water will be used to maintain the flow through 3 ornamental lakes. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address, between 13th April 2000 and 13th May 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Licensing Section, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 6GZ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
