THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AT JUNCTIONS) (NO. 12) (AMENDMENT NO. 5) ORDER 2000

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 21st March 2000 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The principal objective of this Order is to remove long term parking near certain road junctions and improve sight lines. The general effect of this Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions, applying at all times at the following junctions: (i) Banstead Road at its junction with Hill Road; (ii) Culvers Avenue at its junction with Beech Close; (iii) Belmont Road at its junction with Bute Road; (iv) Melbourne Road at its junction with Oxford Road; and (v) Green Lane at its junction with Central Road; for the lengths of streets set out in the Schedule to this notice. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 3rd April 2000, plans indicating the locations and effect of the restrictions and the council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be examined at: Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
