THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AT JUNCTIONS) (NO. 12) (AMENDMENT NO. 5) ORDER 2000
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 21st March 2000 under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The principal objective of this Order is to remove long term parking near certain road junctions and improve sight lines. The general effect of this Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions, applying at all times at the following junctions: (i) Banstead Road at its junction with Hill Road; (ii) Culvers Avenue at its junction with Beech Close; (iii) Belmont Road at its junction with Bute Road; (iv) Melbourne Road at its junction with Oxford Road; and (v) Green Lane at its junction with Central Road; for the lengths of streets set out in the Schedule to this notice. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 3rd April 2000, plans indicating the locations and effect of the restrictions and the council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be examined at: Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule (introduce waiting restrictions—“no waiting at any time”) Banstead Road at its junction with Hill Road, Carshalton: Banstead Road, the south-east side, from a point 12 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Hill Road to a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Hill Road; Hill Road, Carshalton, from a point 13 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Banstead Road to its junction with Banstead Road. Culvers Avenue at its junction with Beech Close: Culvers Avenue, the south-east side, from a point 14 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Beech Close to a point 15 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Beech Close; Beech Close, (a) the north-east side, from its junction with Culvers Avenue to a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Culvers Avenue; (b) the south-west side, from its junction with Culvers Avenue to a point 10 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Culvers Avenue. Belmont Road at its junction at Bute Road: Belmont Road, the north side, from its junction with Bute Road to a point 15 metres west of the western kerb-line of Bute Road; Bute Road, the west side, from its junction with Belmont Road to a point opposite the party wall of No. 96 Bute Road and No. 55 Belmont Road. Melbourne Road at its junction with Oxford Road: Melbourne Road, the south-east side, from a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Oxford Road to a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Oxford Road; Oxford Road, from a point 7.5 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Melbourne Road to its junction with Melbourne Road. Green Lane at its junction with Central Road: Green Lane, Worcester Park, (a) the north-west side, from its junction with Central Road to a point 14 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Central Road; (b) the south-east side, from its junction with Central Road to a point 15 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Central Road.
