THE HARINGEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO. ) EXPERIMENTAL TRAFFIC ORDER 2000
Notice is hereby given that, the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 24th February 2000, made the Haringey (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. ) Experimental Traffic Order 2000, under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Order will be to provide that no person shall cause any vehicle to wait or load at any time in the sections of Hermitage Road, Vale Road and Linkway specified in the Order and no person shall cause any vehicle to wait in the section of Linkway set out in the Order between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., Monday to Saturday inclusive. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 2nd March 2000, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order can be inspected until the end of 6 months from the date on which the Order was made between 9 a.m. and 4.45 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at: The Legal Service, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, London N22 4TR; and Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey, London N.8. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Legal Service—telephone 020 8489 3849, and copies of the Order may be obtained from the Legal Service, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, London N22 4TR. The Order provides that in pursuance of section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Borough Engineer and Surveyor of the London Borough of Haringey, or some person authorised in that behalf by him, may, if it appears to him or that person, essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic or for which any road affected by the Order runs, modify or suspend the Order or any provision thereof. If the provisions or the Order continue in operation for a period of not less than 6 months, the Haringey Borough Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of an Order under section 6 of the said Act of 1984. Persons desiring to object to the making of the Order under section 6 of the said Act of 1984, for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, within the aforementioned period of 6 months (i.e., by) send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds of that objection to the Legal Service, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, London N22 4TR. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or if any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
