NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO ABSTRACT WATER

Notice is hereby given that WSP Environmental Ltd on behalf of Cadogan Estates is applying to the Environment Agency for a consent to investigate and undertake pump tests to abstract groundwater from the Upper Chalk aquifer at National Grid Reference TQ 1784 5280 at the Duke of York Headquarters, Chelsea. The proposal is to abstract water at approximately 1,440 cubic metres per day throughout the year. The water will be used as a coolant for the proposed development at the site. A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at WSP Environmental Ltd, Intec 4, Wade Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG24 8NE, before 21st January 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square, Hatfield Business Park, St. Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9PW, before the end of said period.
