NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that The Notleys Golf Club Ltd., of The Green, White Notley, Witham, Essex, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from River Brain at National Grid Reference TL 774 198 at White Notley. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 5.76 cubic metres per hour, 138 cubic metres per day, 5,000 cubic metres between November and March each year. The water will be used for filling ponds and reservoirs and for subsequent irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Notley Golf Club Ltd., The Green, White Notley, Witham, Essex, between 13th January 2000 and 13th February 2000. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period. G. A.
