TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (AMENDMENT
NO. 7) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999 AND (AMBULANCE PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) TRAFFIC
ORDER 1999
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark, on 16th
November 1999, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part
IV Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government
Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general effect of the Order will be to:
(a) add to the Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Order 1998 by designating
a disabled persons parking place in the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice
in which vehicles displaying an Orange Badge as authorised by the Order may be left
in any period during the permitted hours without charge; and (b) to add to the Southwark
(Ambulance Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1996 by designating an ambulance parking
place in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. A copy of the
Order which will come into operation for the purposes of the placing of traffic signs
on 17th January 2000, and for all other purposes on 21st January 2000, of the Southwark
(Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Amendment No. 7) Traffic Order 1999 and
the Southwark (Ambulance Parking Places (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 1999, of plans
which indicate the lengths of road to which the Order relate can be inspected during
normal office hours on Mondays and Fridays inclusive until end of 6 weeks from the
date on which the Orders were made in the Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland
Street, London SE17 2ES. Further information and a copy of the Order may be obtained
from Chas Wood, Southwark Regeneration and Environmental Department (Licensing Section),
Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, telephone 0171
525 5479. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions
contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevent powers of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation
to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the date on which this Order was made, make application
