NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, as amended by the Environment Act 1995, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Mr. Bourne for consent to discharge a maximum of 1.2 cubic metres per day of Biologically Treated Sewage Effluent from a Package Sewage Treatment Plant serving Old Toll Bar Cottage, Roundhill Road, Jumble Holes, near Rising Bridge, Accrington, Lancashire, to a tributary of Woodnook Water, a tributary of the River Hyndburn, a tributary of the River Calder, at National Grid Reference SD 767 252. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to Mrs. L. Heathcote, Authorisations Officer, The Environment Agency, North West Central Area Office, PO Box 519, South Preston PR5 8GD, not later than 28th January 2000, quoting Ref. C/94/P/99. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met. Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Environment Agency at the North West Central Area Office, Lutra House, Dodd Way, Walton Summit, Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancashire, and may be inspected, free of charge, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive.
