NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take Notice that M. M. Carter, of Ingerthorpe Hall, Markington, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG3 3PD, is applying the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the magnesian limestone and millstone grit at National Grid Reference SE 2927 6636 in the parish of Markington with Wallerthwaite, Harrogate Borough of North Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 19 cubic metres per hour, 182 cubic metres per day, 27,300 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of container and field grown trees. This application is to replace the previous licence. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Ingerthorpe Hall Farm, Markington, between 3rd December 1999 and 3rd January 2000. Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licencing Section, Dales Area, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period.
