PUBLIC NOTICE AFFECTING THE A38 RUMWELL

THE TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH (A38 RUMWELL) (50 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose a 50 m.p.h. speed limit along the A38 in the District of Taunton Deane from a point 185 metres south-west of the junction with Rumwell Lane to a point 470 metres north-east of that junction (i.e. to the commencement of the existing 40 m.p.h. restriction).
Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the location of the roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton during normal office hours.
If you wish to object to the proposed Order or to make representations in support of the proposals, you should send your grounds, in writing, to reach the undersigned by 10th December 1999.
