The general effect of the Croydon (South) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1993 (Amendment No. M52) Traffic Order 1999 would be to include Dittoncroft Close in the Croydon (South) Controlled Parking Zone. The prohibition referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in certain circumstances, e.g. the picking up or setting down of passengers; the carrying out of statutory powers or duties; the taking in of petrol, etc., from roadside petrol stations; to licensed street traders, etc. A copy of the proposed Orders, of the Croydon (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1991, the Croydon (South) Parking Places (No. 1) Order 1993 (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, and of a map which indicates the lengths of roads to which the proposed restrictions relate can be inspected until the expiration of a period of 28 days from the date on which this Notice is published during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Public Services and Works Department, London Borough of Croydon on 0181-686 4433 ext. 4905. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Public Service and Works Department, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon CR9 3RN, quoting the reference T&P/PS/JAA/7/T51/52 within the aforementioned period of 28 days. The Councillors for this Ward are Bob Coatman, Pat Knight and Michael Wunn. The proposed Order is intended to include Dittoncroft Close, South Croydon in the Croydon (South) Controlled Parking Zone and introducing waiting restrictions between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in that street to bring it into line with restrictions in the surrounding area. Waiting restrictions “At any time” throughout the week would be introduced in Fellmongers Yard and Overton’s Yard, Croydon to reduce obstructive parking in these narrow streets, allow market traders to collect market stalls and emergency vehicles to gain access to the streets if necessary.
