HIGHWAY AT NEW GAS STREET, WEST BROMWICH
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell) (No. 3) Order 1999”, authorising the stopping-up of part of New Gas Street, West Bromwich and the improvement of existing highway shown edged black on the deposited plan. The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council on 18th June 1999, under reference DC/99/35243. Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands, at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT, (quoting Ref. 5107/35/1/28) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, PO Box 42, Development House, Lombard Street, Sandwell, West Midlands B70 8RU. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act, or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within 6 weeks of the 4th October 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order, or of any provision contained therein.
