THE GREENWICH (BUS STOP CLEARWAY) (CONSOLIDATION) TRAFFIC ORDER 199

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, on 6th September 1999 made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The effect of the Order will be solely to consolidate all the permanent bus stop clearways designated by the Greenwich (Bus Stop Clearway) Traffic Order 1997 and its subsequent amendments. The 1997 Order will remain valid for the purposes of existing experimental Orders. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 6th September 1999, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Engineering Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ, for 6 weeks following the date the Order was made and copies of the Order may be obtained from the same address. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
