The Traffic Director for London

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (HARINGEY) RED ROUTE TRAFFIC ORDER 1993 VARIATION (NO. 2) ORDER 1999

The Traffic Director for London, following a direction given to him by the Secretary of State under section 58(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1991 to implement a Trunk Road Local Plan, hereby gives notice that he intends to make the above-named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general nature and effect of the Order would be to vary the existing Red Route Traffic Order so that red route controls that currently commence at 8 a.m. will commence one hour earlier at 7 a.m., and so that the controls that currently apply on Mondays to Fridays will apply additionally on Saturdays. These changes are an integral part of the Route 43 bus service improvement. They will generally assist the movement of people and goods and in particular enable buses to achieve more efficient movement along the route. The roads affected by this Order are the A1 Archway Road in the London Borough of Haringey. A copy of the Order, a statement of the Traffic Director for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the locations effected and effects of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during office hours at the offices of The Traffic Director for London, College House, London SW1P 3LN; and London Borough of Haringey, Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End N8 9JJ. Any objection to the proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent to the Traffic Director for London, College House, Great Peter Street, London SW1P 3LN, quoting reference A8.1.4.TO/548 to arrive before 10th September 1999. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected. D. Turner, Traffic Director for London 19th August 1999.
