CRYSTAL PALACE PARK ROAD

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley, hereinafter called “the Council” on 27th July 1999, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, and sections 64-81 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991, which will come into operation on 16th August 1999. The effect of the Order will allow privately owned vehicles, contract coaches, tours and excursions etc., which have more than 8 passenger seats (exclusive of the driver), as well as the conventional local service bus to use the Bus Gate in Crystal Palace Park Road, Penge, which has been operating experimentally since October 1998. The notice of making published in the local paper and in The London Gazette introducing this change contained a statement that the Council would be considering in due course, whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. The Council has carefully considered whether or not this provision should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued. A copy of the Order and the Order being amended can be inspected until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. W. Million, Borough Secretary, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH.
