SHEERNESS INNER RELIEF ROAD PHASE 2 CLASSIFIED ROAD (SUPPLEMENTARY) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 1999

The Kent County Council hereby gives notice that they have made and submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions for confirmation, an Order under section 14 of the Highways Act 1980, for authorising the Council: (a) to stop up a short length of Regents Place to enable landscaping proposals to be carried out; (b) to stop up the access to land at the rear of Portland Terrace which is used for car parking; (c) to stop up the full width of the southern arm of Albion Place; (d) to provide a new public footpath on the line of the stopped up Albion Place alongside the south-eastern side of No. 137 High Street. Copies of the Order and the relevant plans may be inspected, free of charge, during normal working hours from 20th July 1999 to 20th September 1999, at the offices of the County Secretary, The Kent County Council, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent ME14 1XQ (Room 2.84), or at the offices of Swale Borough Council, Trinity Road, Sheerness, Kent. Any person may, not later than 20th September 1999, object to the confirmation of the Order by notice in writing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, Northern Regional Office, Local Authority Orders Section, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne, stating the grounds of objection.
