NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

1. Three month‘s advance notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council as Highway Authority intends to carry out Substantial Works for Road Purposes. 2. The streets in which these works will take place are: (a) Lichfield Road A515, Sudbury. (b) A515, Snelston. (c) Market Street A608, Heanor. 3. Works are expected to affect the: (a) Carriageway between: the river bridge and 170 metres south of Leathersley Lane. (b) Carriageway between: B5033 and Hales Green Lane. (c) Carriageway between: Ilkeston Road and Red Lion Square. 4. Works are expected to commence on: 1st October 1999. 5. The works notified will include the following: (a) Reconstruct southbound carriageway; Plane and resurface northbound carriageway. (b) 100 millimetres carriageway overlay with 150 millimetres road base to outside edges. (c) Plane off and resurface carriageway. 6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from the completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
