NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Note. This is a re-advertisement in respect of a previous advertisement that was incorrect. Notice is hereby given that an application is being made to the Environment Agency, Thames Region, by the New Millennium Experience Company, 110 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 9SB, for a licence to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) at Tunnel Avenue, Greenwich Peninsula, National Grid Reference TQ 3890 8005. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 315,360 cubic metres per year, 864 cubic metres per day, and 43.2 cubic metres per hour. The water will be used for supply to the Millennium Dome. A copy of the application and of any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at the Canning Town Library, Barking Road, Canning Town, London E16 4HQ, at all reasonable hours during the period beginning on Friday 11th June 1999 and ending on Sunday, 11th July 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Water Resources Officer, Environment Agency (Thames Region-South East Area), Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 5SQ, before the end of the said period.
