NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that A. A. Jordan, Topfield, California, Little Downham, Ely, Cambridgeshire
CB6 2UF, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from
main drains and farm dykes at and between National Grid References: TL 534843 and
TL 536846; TL 492858 and TL 492857; TL 512824 and TL 514823; TL 525864 and TL 526865;
TL 529868 and TL 530869; TL 536877 and TL 536878; TL 541878 and TL 543877; TL 540873,
TL 539872 and TL 540871; TL 545869 and TL 547871; TL 539857, TL 540858 and TL 544856,
at West Fen, Third and Hall Fen Droves, Black Bank, Coffue and North Fen Droves, Little
Downham; Pygore Drove, Pymore; all in the parish of Little Downham, in the district
of East Cambridgeshire, in the county of Cambridgeshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 45.5 cubic metres per hour,
681.9 cubic metres per day and 6,819 cubic metres per year, between 1st April and
31st October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation. This is an application
to replace licence No. 6/33/26/271/8 (incorporating 6/33/36/152/2) and to include
additional parcels of land and abstraction points.
A copy of the application and of any map, plan or other document submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at 14 Prickwillow Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire CB7
4NS, at all reasonable hours during the period beginning on 4th June and ending on
2nd July 1999.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Central Area, Bromholme Lane,
Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period,
quoting the name of the applicant.
