NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Kettering Golf Club of Headlands, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 6XA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from alluvial deposits at National Grid Reference SP 858771, Kettering district, Northamptonshire. The proposal is to abstract 10 cubic metres per hour, 110 cubic metres per day and 3,410 cubic metres per year, between May and September for spray irrigation purposes. The Club has an existing licence (5/32/6/I+S/77C) authorising abstraction of a corresponding quantity of water from another source (SP 847765) which will be revoked on issue of this licence and so the resources in the area will be unaffected. A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Kettering Golf Club, Headlands, Kettering, between 29th May and 26th June 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Waterside House, Waterside North, Lincoln LN2 5HA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
