COAST PROTECTION ACT 1949

The Borough of Poole, acting in their capacity as coast protection authority, hereby give notice under subsection (i) of section 5 of the above Act that they propose to carry out coast protection work as described herein at Sandbanks, Poole, Dorset, between Midway Path and the Haven Hotel. The work will consist of the construction of a low level Y shaped rock groyne and extending an existing rock groyne. The estimated cost of the work is £48,000. Any person may, not later than 24th June 1999, serve a written notice of objection to the above proposal on the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and on the above-mentioned authority. Any such notice must contain a statement of the grounds of objection and must be sent by pre-paid post to Flood and Coastal Defence with Emergencies Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Eastbury House, 30-34 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TL, and to the clerk of the authority at the address given below.
