PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF AN UNNAMED HIGHWAY, STALYBRIDGE, AND THE PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF SPRING STREET, STALYBRIDGE
Notice is hereby given that a local joint inquiry is to be held in connection with the proposal of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, to make Orders under section 247 of the above Act authorising the stopping-up of an unnamed highway between Market Street and Waterloo Road, Stalybridge, and the stopping-up of Spring Street, Stalybridge. If authorised the stopping-up of the unnamed highway would enable the demolition of 28-30 Market Street, Stalybridge, and the creation of a 33 space car park and the stopping-up of Spring Street would enable the erection of a single storey extension to Cosmo Bingo Club, 62-78 Market Street, Stalybridge. The joint inquiry will be held at The Committee Room 4, Town Hall, Manchester, on Thursday, 24th June 1999, at 10 a.m., by F. D. Woodrow, a person hereby appointed by the Secretary of State for the purpose. (Ref Nos. GO/TNW 5087/35/1/36 and GO/TNW 5087/35/1/37.
