THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (LORDS CRICKET GROUND) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 12th May 1999, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The general effect of the Orders will be whilst cricket matches are being played at Lord’s Cricket Ground, and during such times as appropriate signs are in place, to: (a) prohibit vehicles proceeding in Wellington Road from entering the south-western arm of Wellington Place; (b) prohibit the right turn by vehicles from Grove End Road into St. John’s Wood Road and from St. John’s Wood Road into Grove End Road; (c) impose one-way working in: (i) Elm Tree Road, towards Grove End Road; (ii) Oak Tree Road, from north-west to south-east. (d) prohibit waiting by vehicles in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Order between 8.30 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and (e) extend certain prohibitions and restrictions imposed by the City of Westminister Local Road (St. John’s Wood Road) Red Route (Side Roads) Traffic Order 1998 (in so far as it relates to Grove End Road and Lisson Grove). Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 14th May 1999, and of other documents giving more detailed particulars about the Orders, can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays until 23rd June 1999 at Parkman Ltd., Mountbarrow House, 6-20 Elizabeth Street, London SW1W 9RB. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 23rd June 1999. Schedule

Circus Road, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Grove End Road and the south-western kerb-line of Wellington Road (other than by permitted vehicles in residents’ parking places). Elm Tree Road, the west side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Elm Tree Close and the south-eastern kerb-line of Circus Road. Grove End Road, the east and north-east side, between its junction with Circus Road and Hall Road and a point 47 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of St. John’s Wood Road (other than by permitted vehicles in parking places). Grove End Road, the west and south-west side, between its junction with Circus Road and Hall Road and a point 10 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of St. John’s Wood Road (other than by permitted vehicles in parking places). Lisson Grove, the north-east side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of St. John’s Wood Road and a point 9 metres south-east of Lodge Road. Lodge Road (other than by permitted vehicles in residents’ parking places). Oak Tree Road (other than by permitted vehicles in parking places). Wellington Road, that length which lies west of Wellington Road. 13th May 1999.
