STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY
Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on 22nd June 1999, for an Order, pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that that length of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto be stopped-up on the ground that it is unnecessary. A copy of a plan (drawing No. M49518) showing that part of the highway to be stopped-up may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Schedule
That section of the back street of Darlington Street the centre line of which to be stopped-up commences at a point approximately 3 metres to the back of the northerly kerb-line of Darlington Street and approximately 20 metres to the east of the easterly kerb-line of Northgate and them travels in a generally north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 17 metres, width approximately 3.5 metres and then in a generally north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 28 metres width aproximately 4 metres, and then continues in the same direction for a further distance of approximately 2 metres reducing in width over this length from 4 metres to 2 metres from a north to south direction. 12th May 1999.
