THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO. ) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 199
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The principal objectives of this Order are to: (a) amend waiting restrictions and introduce loading restrictions at the junction of Lynwood Drive and Central Road in order to stop obstructive parking; (b) introduce waiting restrictions in Balmoral Road in order to stop obstructive parking; (c) introduce loading restrictions at the junction of Hampton Road and Windsor Road in order to stop obstructive parking in the vicinity of the width restriction; (d) introduce waiting restrictions in Woodmansterne Lane in order to prevent obstructive parking and to improve sight-lines for drivers emerging from Woodcote Green Nursery; (e) introduce waiting restrictions in Sparrow Farm Road in order to ensure that parking is prevented in the vicinity of the proposed School Crossing Patrol; (f) introduce waiting and loading restrictions at the junction of Banstead Road South and West Way in order to remove the danger caused by parked vehicles to children crossing outside the school; (g) introduce waiting restrictions at the junction of Wrythe Lane and Robertsbridge Road in order to remove obstructive and dangerous parking at the junction; (h) introduce waiting and loading restrictions at the junction of Wrythe Lane and Tintern Road in order to remove obstructive and dangerous parking at the junction; (i) introduce waiting and loading restrictions in Throwley Road in order to stop obstructive parking in the bus lane in Throwley Way; (j) introduce waiting and loading restrictions in Manor Road North in order to improve the capacity of the junction of the classified roads A237 and A232; and (k) amend waiting restrictions at the junction of Gander Green Lane and Watson Avenue in order to allow on-street parking beyond a distance of 10 metres from the junction. The general effect of this Order will be to: (a) amend waiting restrictions to “at any time” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) introduce loading restrictions “no loading at any time” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice; (d) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the length of road specified in Schedule 4 to this notice; (e) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the length of road specified in Schedule 5 to this notice; (f) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. and between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the length of road specified in Schedule 6 to this notice; (g) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 midnight on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” for the length of road specified in Schedule 7 to this notice; (h) introduce waiting and loading restrictions “no waiting or loading between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the length of road specified in Schedule 8 to this notice; and (i) reduce the lengths of the “at any time” waiting restrictions at the junction of Gander Green Lane and Watson Avenue to those lengths specified in Schedule 9 to this notice. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Order; (b) the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order; and (c) plans showing the locations and effects of the proposals. Lynwood Drive, from its junction with Central Road south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. Throwley Road, from its junction with Throwley Way south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. Wrythe Lane, the north-east side, from its junction with Robertsbridge Road north-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. Schedule 2 (introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time”) Banstead Road South, the south-east side, from a point 15 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of West Way to a point 15 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of West Way. Robertsbridge Road, from its junction with Wrythe Lane north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres. West Way, from its junction with Banstead Road South south-eastwards for a distance of 15 metres. Windsor Road, the north-west side, from a point 7 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Hampton Road to a point opposite the south-western flank wall of No. 10 Windsor Road. Wrythe Lane, the north-east side, from a point 15 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Tintern Road to a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Tintern Road. Schedule 3 (introduce loading restrictions “no loading at any time”) Central Road, the south-west side, from a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 167 and 169 Central Road to a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 157 and 159 Central Road. Hampton Road, from the south-eastern kerb-line of Windsor Road south-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres. Lynwood Drive, from its junction with Central Road south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. Throwley Road, from its junction with Throwley Way south-westwards for a distance of 15 metres. Tintern Road, from its junction with Wrythe Lane north-eastwards for a distance of 10 metres.
