THE BOROUGH OF CONGLETON (PLATT AVENUE, SANDBACH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 1999
Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, 31st March 1999, Congleton Borough Council,
pursuant to arrangements with Cheshire County Council made an Order under sections
1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect
of which will prohibit waiting by vehicles at any time on the lengths of Platt Avenue/Middlewich
Road, Sandbach, specified in the Schedule to this notice.
The Order comes into force on Tuesday, 6th April 1999, and a copy of the Order, together
with a map showing the roads affected, may be examined during normal office hours
at “Westfields”, Middlewich Road, Sandbach.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein
on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, or on grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made
under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks
from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Schedule
Lengths of roads in the town of Sandbach in the Borough of Congleton in the county
of Cheshire.
Platt Avenue, (both sides), from its junction with Middlewich Road in a northerly direction for
a distance of 14 metres.
Middlewich Road, (north side), from the centre line of the junction with Platt Avenue in a westerly
direction for a distance of 90 metres.
