LONDON BUS PRIORITY NETWORK—EAST/WEST ROUTE II
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden on 22nd March 1999, made the above-mentioned Orders. The details of which were previously published in the London Gazette on 22nd October 1999, under Ref. No. 514. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to: (i) Introduce and amend existing bus lanes as part of the London Bus Priority Network in High Holborn, Bloomsbury Way, Drake Street, Proctor Street, Holborn and New Oxford Street, as shown in table to this notice. (ii) Bus lanes to operate during the times specified in column (3), in the direction shown in column (4) and type of vehicles permitted to use the bus lane specified in column (5) in the table to this notice. (iii) Introduce no stopping at any time” clearway restrictions at all bus stops in those streets. (iv) Introduce no stopping at any time” clearway restrictions at bus stands in Drake Street and New Oxford Street. (v) Amend the existing waiting and loading restrictions in those streets. A copy of the Orders which will come into force on 29th March 1999, a plan and the council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders, may be inspected or purchased during normal office hours at the Environment Reception, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ. Any person wanting to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof have not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
