THE HILLINGDON (BUS PRIORITY) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999

Hillingdon Council gives notice that on 23rd March 1999, it made this Order which continues in force the currently marked bus lanes and bus-only routes as listed in the Schedule below, but amends the provisions to prohibit vehicles (except buses and other permitted vehicles) from being in the bus lane or bus-only route. This allows more effective enforcement using traffic cameras. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 25th March 1999, can be seen at Level 3 Reception, Civic Centre, Uxbridge, during normal office hours, for 6 weeks following the date on which this notice is published. Copies of the Order can be obtained from Local Services, telephone number 01895 277 014. Applications to the High Court challenging the legality of the Order should be made within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made. R. Farrant, acting Head of Environmental and Technical Services
