CITY OF STOKE-ON-TRENT (LAND ADJACENT TO HILTON ROAD, HARPFIELDS) PUBLIC PATH (DIVERSION ORDER) 1999

The above Order was made on 4th February 1999. The effect of the Order if confirmed is to divert the public footpaths more fully referred to in the individual descriptions below: 1. ‘Footpath 1’ represented by the hash line coloured green from the existing footpath (route A-B-C-D-E) commencing at point A on the south-west footway of Hilton Road (directly opposite No. 147 Hilton Road) which then traverses in a south-westerly direction for some 60 metres to point K and then runs generally in a north-westerly direction for some 110 metres to point B then in a south-westerly direction for 70 metres to point C, then in a north-westerly direction for 54 metres to point D, and then in a south-westerly direction for some 48 metres coloured green terminating at point E. To be diverted to route A-K-L-D-M-E represented by the dotted line coloured green commencing at point A aforesaid which then runs north-westerly for 13 metres to point A1 and then in a generally south-westerly direction for some 55 metres to point K, then in a north-westerly direction for 128 metres to point L, then in a westerly direction for 83 metres to point D, then in a south-westerly direction for 52 metres to point M, and then in a north-westerly direction for some 14 metres, terminating at point E. 2. ‘Footpath 2’ represented by the hash line coloured orange from the existing footpath (Route A-K-B-H) commencing at point A on the south-west footway of Hilton Road (directly opposite No. 147 Hilton Road) travelling in a south-westerly direction for 60 metres to point K, then in a north-westerly direction for 110 metres to point B, then in a south-westerly direction for 160 metres terminating at point H. To be diverted to route A-A1-K-P-H represented by a dotted line coloured orange commencing at point A which runs in a north-westerly direction for 13 metres to point A1, then in a south-westerly direction for 102 metres passing through point K to point P, then in a south-south-westerly direction for 84 metres rejoining the original footpath some 23 metres north of point H and terminating at point H. 3. ‘Footpath 3’ represented by the hash line coloured blue from the existing footpath A-K-B-C-G-F commencing at point A on the south-westerly footpath of Hilton Road (directly opposite No. 147 Hilton Road) then traversing in a south-westerly direction for 60 metres to point K then in a north-westerly direction for 110 metres to point B, and then south-westerly for 70 metres to point C, continuing in a south-westerly direction for 45 metres to point G and then in a north-westerly direction for 17 metres to point F. To be diverted to route A-A1-K-L-D-M-F represented by the dotted line coloured blue commencing at point A aforesaid running in a north-westerly direction for 13 metres to point A1, then in a generally south-westerly direction for 55 metres to point K, then in a north-westerly direction for 125 metres to point L, then in a westerly direction for 83 metres to point D, continuing in a south-westerly direction for 52 metres to point M, and then in a south-easterly direction for 27 metres terminating at point F. 4. ‘Footpath 4’ represented by the hash line coloured yellow from the existing route H-G-F, commencing at point H on Newcastle Lane running in a north-westerly direction for 184 metres to point G, continuing in a generally north-westerly direction for 17 metres to point F. To be diverted to route N-H-F, represented by the dotted line coloured yellow commencing at point H aforesaid running in a north-north-westerly direction for 16 metres then turning south-westerly for 105 metres to point N, then continuing in a north-westerly direction for 142 metres terminating at point F. The Order may be seen, free of charge, at the offices of the Council of the City of Stoke-on-Trent, Department of Engineering Services, Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke-on-Trent, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Copies of the Order may be bought there at the price of 75p. Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Mark Winstanley, Director of Law and Administration, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 1RG, not later then Friday 12th March 1999. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are made or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council of the City of Stoke-on-Trent may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order. Contact Officer is C.
