NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER AND TO VARY AN EXISTING LICENCE

Take notice that Harrington Hall Farms of Harrington Hall, Harrington, Spilsby, Lincolnshire is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from unnamed tributory of the River Lymn at National Grid Reference TF38777172 at Sutterby House Farm, Sutterby, Spilsby, Lincolnshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour, 600 cubic metres per day and 27,272 cubic metres per year—(between 1st January and 31st March each year). The water will be used for Agricultural purposes. The water will be stored in sealed Reservoirs from which it will be used for spray irrigation. Harrington Hall Farms are also applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence no. 4/30/14/S/108 in order to extend the area of farm land that spray irrigation may be used upon. Copies of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at N F U Office, High Street, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, between 12th February 1999 and 12th March 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Waterside House, Waterside North, Lincoln LN2 HA, before the end of the said period.
