THE A483 TRUNK ROAD (POOL ROAD, NEWTOWN, POWYS) (40 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 199

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Wales proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles at a speed exceeding 40 m.p.h. in that length of the A483 Trunk Road known as Pool Road which extends from a point 961 metres north-east of its junction with Sheaf Street in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 565 metres. During a period of 21 days from 22nd January 1999, a copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be seen at Powys County Council, Park Offices, Park Street, Newtown, Powys during normal office hours. Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, and quoting Ref. ZC510-6-6-67, must be sent in writing to the Welsh Office, Highways Directorate, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF1 3NQ, by 12th February 1999. In preparation of an objection and the statement of the grounds of objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
