LIVERPOOL CORPORATION ACT 1969, SECTION 8 AND 10

Notice is hereby given that the City Council proposes to close and divert parts of the City Walkway at Goree Piazza (Wilberforce House), Brunswick Street and The Strand, Liverpool 2. Namely: 1. The closure of parts of Goree Piazza located between Wilberforce House and Mersey House fronting the south-eastern elevation of Wilberforce House and the north-western elevation of Mersey House, together with the flight of steps (on Brunswick Street) located at the eastern end of The Strand footbridge. 2. The diversion of the element of the walkway formed by the ramp linking the eastern end of the footbridge to Goree Piazza (fronting The Strand) to an area immediately to the north-east of the existing ramp currently within the curtilage of Wilberforce House. Any person requiring further information may call at the Head of Legal Services Agency Office General Services Business Unit, Room 128, First Floor, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool, between the hours of 8.45 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday inclusive. Any statutory undertakers having apparatus under, in, upon, over, along or across the walkways; the owners and occupiers of lands adjoining the walkways; any person who uses the walkways and any person who would be aggrieved by the closure or diversion may by notice in writing to the Head of Legal Services Agency make representations in respect of the proposal not later than 25th January 1999.
