NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Richard and Edward, trading as the East Horton Golf Centre, of Berrywood Farm, Bubb Lane, West End, Southampton, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water fron unnamed tributary of the River Hamble, at National Grid Reference SU 509 182, at East Horton Golf Centre, Mortimers Lane, Fair Oak, Hampshire. The proposal to abstract water at the following rates: 7 cubic metres per hour, 126 cubic metres per day, 9,091 cubic metres per year, between 1st November and 31st March each year. The water will be used for irrigation of golf course from water storage pond with water abstracted during winter months from existing stream. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at East Horton Golf Centre notice boards, between 17th December 1998 and 23rd January 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Culverdene Court, Wessex Business Park, Wessex Way, Colden Common, Winchester SO21 1WP, before the end of the said period.
