Notice of Deposit of Proposals for a Waste Local Plan The Essex and Southend Waste Local Plan

Essex County Council and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council have prepared proposals for the above Plan. If and when these Plan proposals are adopted, they will form the development plan for the Essex County and Southend-on-Sea Borough Councils. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the proposals are available for public insepction, free of charge, at the Corporate Information Unit, County Hall, Chelmsford, at the offices of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, at all main and branch Libraries during normal opening hours, and at all main Borough and District Council Offices during normal office hours listed below from 26th November 1998 until 15th January 1999.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to the Head of Planning, Essex County Council, County Hall, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 1LF, or the Director of Technical Services, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea SS2 6ER, before 15th January 1999. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made, and may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.   Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and sent to either of the addresses specified within the period allowed for objection or representation which expires on 15th January 1999, will have a right to have their ojbections considered at the local inquiry.   Further information is available from Geoff Gardner on (01245) 437679.
