PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER SECTION 6 OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990 PART I
Integrated Pollution Control
Notice is hereby given that Glaxo Wellcome Operations has applied to the Secretary of State for the Environment for an Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate processes in the manufacture of organic chemicals at Glaxo Wellcome, Temple Hill, Dartford, Kent, in the Borough/District of Dartford, in the county of Kent. The application is for a variation to an existing authorisation of manufacturing facilities used to provide materials (medicinal drug substances and intermediates) to produce a range of pharmaceutical products. Information relating to the above IPC application for authorisation to operate the research and development facility process is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Environment Agency Regional Office, Public Register, Guildbourne House, Chatsworth Road, Worthing BN11 1LD, and Dartford Borough Council, Public Register, Dartford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Home Gardens, Dartford DA1 1DR. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice: The Environment Agency, Environment Agency Area Office, Orchard House, Endeavour Park, London Road, Addington, West Malling ME19 5SH. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making the requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request. In the case there will be included in the register a statement indicating only that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request.
