New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Section 58

Notice of Substantial Road Works

Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council—Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works.
  The streets in which these works will take place are A629 Wakefield Road, Huddersfield.
  Work is expected to affect the carriage/footway from 20 metres east of junction with Smithy Lane to 90 metres west of junction with St. Andrews Road.
  Work is expected to commence on 29th January 1999 (Works should begin within 1 month of this date).
  The works notified will include the following: Provide bus/cycle lane, improve Smithy Lane, Somerset Road, St. Andrews/Firth Street Junction, refurbish signals, resurface carriageway and footways.
  Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for period of 12 months from completion of works described in the above paragraph without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
