Water Resources Act 1991—Schedule 10, as amended by the Environment Act 1995
Notice of application for consent for the purposes of section 88
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Batsford Estate (1983) Company Limited for consent to discharge up to 6 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent via a seasonal soakaway to a tributary of Knee Brook at National Grid Reference SP 2021 3588 from a new housing development at Church Farm, Aston Magna, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. It is planned that this proposed discharge would cease when mains sewerage is available for the properties. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Area Consents Officer at the Agency’s offices at Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8JG, during the period 5th November 1998, to 17th December 1998, quoting Ref. CP/LS/60828. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Agency’s offices at the above address and at Olton Court, 10 Warwick Road, Olton, Solihull, West Midlands B92 7HX. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met. N. Parr, on behalf of the Environment Agency 5th November 1998.
