Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Anthony George and Jane Rosemary Parrott, trading as A. G. Parrott Farming of Acton Hill Farm, Acton Trussell, Stafford, Staffordshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Sherwood Sandstone formation at SJ 9433 1964 at Acton Hill Farm, open pasture, 250 metres north of the farm buildings in the parish of Acton Trussell, Staffordshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 60 cubic metres per hour, 720 cubic metres per day, 40,000 cubic metres between 1st January and 31st December each year. The water will be used for irrigation of crops and to supply water for cooling in the dairy. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Acton Hill Farm, Acton Trussell between 29th October 1998 and 30th November 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Midlands Region, Upper Trent Area, 9 Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire WG13 8RR, before the end of the said period.
