PUBLIC NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER SECTION 6 OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990, PART 1

Integrated Pollution Control

Notice is hereby given that Lambson Fine Chemicals Ltd. has applied to the Secretary of State for the Environment for an Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate a 4.2 (C) process at Cinder Lane, Castleford WF10 1LU, in the Borough/District of Wakefield in the county of Yorkshire.   Information relating to the above IPC authorisation to be operated, the reduction of nitrocompounds to amines process, is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency Area Office, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS11 8PG and Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, Environmental Health Services, 29 King Street, Wakefield WF1 2SY (for the attention of Phil Healey).  Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information obtained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.   Any objections or representations to the above IPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice: The Environment Agency Area Office, Bowbridge Close, Bradmarsh Business Park, Templeborough, Rotherham S60 1BY.   Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.   In this case, there will be included in the register, a statement indicating only that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request.
