Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 7(1) and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and Road Traffic Act 1991 and all other enabling powers. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to: Introduce and amend existing bus lanes as part of the London Bus Priority Network in High Holborn, Bloomsbury Way, Drake Street, Proctor Street, Holborn and New Oxford Street, as shown in table to this notice. Bus lanes to operate during the times specified in column (3), in the direction shown in column (4) and type of vehicles permitted to use the bus lane specified in column (5) in the table to this notice. Introduce no stopping “at any time” clearway restrictions at all bus stops in those streets. Introduce no stopping “at any time” clearway restrictions at bus stands in Drake Street and New Oxford Street. Amend the existing waiting and loading restrictions in those streets. A copy of the Orders, and plans showing the location and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders, may be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Environment Reception, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ. Any person wanting to object or make other representations to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of any objection and specify the grounds thereof and address it to the Director of Environment Department, Traffic Management Team, Fourth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach us by 16th November 1998, within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
