The Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 76) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest, hereinafter called the Council, on 20th October 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order will be further to amend the Waltham Forest (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977, so as to vary the times and lengths of waiting and loading restrictions on Burwell Road so that:   (a) waiting restrictions will operate between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on those lengths of that road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;   (b) waiting restrictions will operate between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on those lengths of that road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;   (c) loading restrictions will operate between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on those lengths of that road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice.   The existing at any time waiting restrictions on other lengths of that road will remain unchanged.   Details of exemptions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising which will apply in the lengths of streets specified above are contained in the original Order of 1997.   A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 26th October 1998, of the above-mentioned Order of 1977 (and of the Orders which have previously amended that Order, where applicable), of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order and a plan showing the locations and effect of the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made at:   (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow E.17;   (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford E.4; and   (c) The Information Office, Municipal Offices, High Road, Leyton E.10.   Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Head of Highways and Services at the address shown in (b) above.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1

(Waiting restrictions between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays)

  Burwell Road:   (a) the north-east side, between a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 3 Burwell Road and the north-western kerb-line of Lea Bridge Road:   (b) the south-west side:     (i) between a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 55 and 57 Burwell Road and a point 1.50 metres north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 51 and 53 Burwell Road;     (ii) between a point 3 metres north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 45 and 47 Burwell Road and a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the north-western wall of No. 39 Burwell Road;     (iii) between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 33 and 35 Burwell Road and a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 23 Burwell Road;     (iv) between a point 2 metres north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 17 and 19 Burwell Road and a point 2 metres south-east of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 13 and 15 Burwell Road;     (v) between a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Burwell Road and the north-western kerb-line of Lea Bridge Road.

(Waiting restrictions between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays)

  Burwell Road, the north-east side:   (a) between a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 49 Burwell Road and a point 1.50 metres south-east of the north-western wall of No. 39 Burwell Road;   (b) between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 33 and 35 Burwell Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 33 and 35 Burwell Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 21 and 23 Burwell Road;   (c) between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 17 and 19 Burwell Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 13 and 15 Burwell Road.

Schedule 3

(Loading restrictions between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays)

   Burwell Road:   (a) the north-east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Lea Bridge Road and a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the south-eastern wall of No. 3 Burwell Road;   (b) the south-west side, between the north-western kerb-line of Lea Bridge Road and a point 1 metre north-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Burwell Road. 22nd October 1998.
