The A303 Trunk Road (Drayton Cross) (Closure of Gap in the Central Reservation) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he made this Order on 13th October 1998, coming into force on 19th October 1998, on the A303 Trunk Road in the district of South Somerset in the county of Somerset. The notice of the proposal to make it (reference SWN507341/7/011) was published in issue number 54590 of The London Gazette on 26th November 1997 and the effect of the Order is as described in that notice.   A copy of the made Order and of a plan illustrating the effect of the Order may be inspected during office hours at the offices of Somerset County Council, County Hall, Taunton, at those of South Somerset District Council, Council Offices, Brampton Way, Yeovil, and during opening hours at The Post Office, 41 St James Street, South Petherton. They may also be obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services, Tollgate House, Houlton Street, Bristol BS2 9DJ, quoting the reference SWN507341/7/011.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of regulations made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from 13th October 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provisions contained therein.
