Application to stop up parts of public highway in Nelson, Lancashire

Take notice that the Borough Council of Pendle acting as agent for and on behalf of Lancashire County Council, the highway authority for the area, intends to apply to Pennine Magistrates Court sitting at the Court House, Colne Road, Reedley, Burnley, on 5th November 1998, at 9.45 a.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that the highways described in the Schedule hereto being situated in Nelson, Lancashire, be authorised to be stopped-up on the grounds that they are unnecessary. The effect of this Order is shown in the plan which is attached to this Order and which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Town Hall, Nelson, Lancashire, during normal office hours.

Clayton Street, Nelson, from its junction with the highway boundary of Pendle Street for 35 metres in a north-easterly direction. Clayton Street, Nelson, from its junction with the highway boundary of Wellington Street, to its junction with private land, some 50 metres to the north-east and then 20 metres to the north-west.
