London Borough of Redbridge, South Woodford Controlled Parking Zone (Permit Parking Scheme)—Area 2
Experimental Traffic Orders 1998
Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, made the Experimental Orders set out in section 2 of this notice on 28th September 1998, under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other powers thereunto enabling. The general effect of the Experimental Orders, which will come into operation on 14th October 1998, will be to extend the Controlled Parking Zone in the South Woodford area, as follows: (a) (Permit Parking Places) (No. 1) Experimental Order, to introduce Residents and Business Parking Permits to enable parking in marked parking bays by valid permit holders between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays (see Schedule to this notice for details of the permit charges); (b) (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. 4) Experimental Order, to amend the Redbridge (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993, by introducing 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., Monday to Saturday waiting and loading restrictions to all roads in the area, with some all-day restrictions; (c) (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. 1) Experimental Order, to amend the Redbridge (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) Order 1993, by introducing further parking spaces for disabled drivers in Craig Gardens; and (d) (On-Street Parking Places) (Pay and Display) (No. 1) Experimental Order, to amend the Redbridge (On-street Parking Places) (Pay and Display) Order 1994, by introducing pay and display parking places, with a parking charge of 10p for 30 minutes in Bressey Grove and Grove Hill (maximum stay of 1 hour) and in South View Drive (maximum stay of 2 hours). Copies of the Experimental Orders, the above-mentioned Orders of 1983, 1993 and 1994, together with amendments to those Orders and plans showing the exact location of all the above restrictions and the council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders may be inspected during normal office hours, Mondays to Fridays, inclusive at the Information Centre, Town Hall, High Road, Ilford, Essex, until 14th April 1999. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for this purpose to the High Court. If the provisions of the Experimental Orders continue in operation for a period of not less than 6 months, the Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Orders should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of Orders under sections 6, 32, 35, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the said Act of 1984. Persons wishing to object to the making of the Orders under sections 6, 32,35, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the said Act for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, within the aforementioned period of 6 months, send a statement in writing of their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Chief Legal Officer, Town Hall, High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1DD, quoting Reference ALH/R262/154.
