The Crichel Down Rules Trace of Former Owners

The former RAF Kemble Airfield has been declared surplus to requirements and is being put forward for disposal. The Crichel Down Rules require Government Departments, under certain circumstances, to offer back surplus land to the former owner or successor in title. It is now necessary to trace the former owners or successors.   The site was acquired between 1937 and 1957 under 19 Conveyances and one Deed of Exchange. The following former owners, or successors in title, are invited to register their interest:    1. The Hon.
