(Off-street Parking Places)—Tenbury—Order 1998
Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an Order under sections 35(1),
39(3) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of this Order will be to introduce car parking charges, hours of operation
and conditions of use to land at Teme Street, Tenbury Wells and Palmers Meadow, Tenbury
Wells. The Order will: (i) specify that the charges for the parking of motor vehicles
on these car parks be as follows: (1) Teme Street, Tenbury Wells:
Monday to Saturday (incl) 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
20p for 0-1 hour |
40p for 1-2 hours |
60p for 2-3 hours |
80p for 3-4 hours |
6 p.m. to 2 a.m. |
No charge |
Sundays: No charge |
Bank Holidays: No charge |
(2) Palmers Meadow, Tenbury Wells:
Monday to Saturday (incl) 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
20p for 0-1 hour |
40p for 1-2 hours |

(ii) specify that the hours of operation of the parking places at Teme Street and
Palmers Meadow shall be all hours except between 4 a.m. and 5 am.; and (iii) specify
that only the following classes of vehicle may use the Teme Street parking place:
motor car as defined in section 136(2)(a), motor cycle as defined in section 136(4)
and invalid carriages as defined in section 136(5) of the Act, and motor vehicles
not exceeding 3,500 kg gross vehicle weight constructed or adapted solely for the
purpose of carrying goods; (iv) specify that only the following classes of vehicle
may use the Palmers Meadow parking place: (a) motor car as defined in section
136(2)(a), motor cycle as defined in section 136(4) and invalid carriages as defined
in section 136(5) of the Act, and motor vehicles not exceeding 3,500 kg gross vehicle
weight constructed or adapted solely for the purpose of carrying goods; (b) coaches
may park in the allocated spaces on the Palmers Meadow car park at no charge. (v) specify
the conditions of use for the Teme Street and Palmers Meadow parking places; (vi) revoke
the Leominster District Council (Off-street Parking Places) Order 1995—in so far as
it relates to Teme Street, Tenbury Wells and Palmers Meadow, Tenbury Wells. Details
are contained in a draft Order which may be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday
to Friday at the Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern, and the Tenbury Area Office
at Teme Street, Tenbury Wells between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (closed 1-1.30 p.m.) on Monday
to Wednesday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Any objections to the making of the
Order should be made in writing to me at the address given below by Monday, 7th September
1998 and each objection must state the grounds upon which such an objection is made.
