Public Notice affecting College Way

The Taunton Deane Borough (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Various Streets in Taunton) (No. 52 Amendment) Order 1998. Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, in connection with the installation of a Toucan” Pedestrian/Cyclist Crossing in College Way, Taunton. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting and loading/unloading at any time on the following length of road:    College Way, on both sides from a point 20 metres north-east of the junction with Pitts Close north-eastwards for a distance of 42 metres.   Full details of the proposals are in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the location of the road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, during normal office hours.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or make representations in support of the proposals, you should send your grounds, in writing, to reach the undersigned by 28th August 1998.
