Notice of Public Path Order
The County of Northamptonshire (Church Farm, Bozeat) (Footpaths) Temporary Diversion Order 199
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with section 252 of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1990, that the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions,
in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 247, 253 and 261 of the Town
and Country Planning Act 1990, and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, proposes
to make a temporary footpath diversion Order if planning permission is granted by
him for the extraction of minerals by surface working.
The effect of the Order will be to divert, for a period not exceeding 18 years,
a length of footpath TA4 from Grid Reference SP 4893 2599 at its junction with footpath
TA1, running north for 170 metres and then northeast for 780 metres to a point 70
metres from its junction with Boat TF15 at Grid Reference SP 4897 2607 onto a new
line commencing at the junction with TA1 Grid Reference SP 4893 2599 and running north
by northwest along the line of TA1 to its junction with footpath TF11 then east by
northeast following the southern bank of the tributary to rejoin the line of TA4 70
metres from its junction with Boat TF15 SP 4897 2607, the lines and situations of
the existing and proposed alternative highway are shown on the map annexed to the
Order.
Notice is also hereby given that a public inquiry is to be held in connection with
the Secretary of State’s proposal to divert the said footpaths. The inquiry will be
held at the County Hall, Northampton, on 4th November 1998, at 10 a.m. by a person
appointed by the Secretary of State for that purpose. This inquiry will be held jointly
with the Public Local Inquiry into the appeal by Pioneer Aggregates PLC against the
non determination of a Planning Application for extraction of minerals by surface
working at Church Farm, Bozeat, near Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
A copy of the draft Order and the map contained in it may be inspected by any person,
free of charge, at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport
and the Regions, the Government Office for the East Midlands, the Belgrave Centre,
Stanley Place, Talbot Street, Nottingham NG1 5GG, the Offices of Northamptonshire
County Council, County Hall, Northampton, Northamptonshire NN1 1AW, and the Sub-Post
Office, Camden Square, Bozeat, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire NN29 7JH, at normal
opening hours, during a period of 28 days from 10thAugust 1998.
Any person may, within that period, object to the making of the Order by notice
in writing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions
at the above address, quoting Ref. EMP 2800/529/1 and stating the ground(s) on which
the objection is made.
