Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that The Southgate Sports & Leisure Trust, of A. J. Scott Knight, c/o Rathbone Laurence Keen, 159 New Bond Street, London W1Y 9PA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Upper Chalk at National Grid Reference TQ 288 969 at The Southgate Hockey Centre, Snakes Lane, Trent Park, Enfield. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 6 cubic metres per hour, 100 cubic metres per day and 12,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for a water based synthetic hockey pitch, irrigation of three grass pitches, watering of the soft landscaping and Pavilion use. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Southgate Hockey Centre, between 30th July 1998 and 30th August 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square Business Park, St. Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
