The London Borough of Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993 (Amendment No.  ) Order 1998 (Cathcart Road and Andover Road, Orpington)

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley, hereinafter called “the Council”, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, and sections 64-81 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effect of the Order will be to:   (a) extend the 1 hour waiting restrictions (between 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Mondays to Fridays) in Andover Road to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Cathcart Drive;   (b) introduce 1 hour waiting restrictions (as in (a)) in Cathcart Road from Andover Road to the common boundary of Nos. 46 and 48.   The prohibitions referred to above will not apply in relation to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform or to vehicles of the Emergency Services.   Details of other prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order of 1993.   A copy of the proposed Order, of the London Borough of Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993 (and of the Orders which have amended that Order), of the plan of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent.   Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement, in writing, of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Environmental Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH, quoting ref. ADE(TP)/T100/259, not later than 21st August 1998.   Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that, under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this notice may be open to public inspection.
